Citizen Helpline started in Koraput

In order to reach the voice of the people to Administration and to initiate immediate action in the matter of urgent pressing problem the administration has started a emergency helpline with the number 06852-1077
    It is a toll free number and any citizen of Koraput district can lodge complaint if he/she has any grievance related to MGNREGA, School, Anganwadi, PDS, Pension Scheme, Health issues between 8 am in the morning to 8 pm in the evening. The grievances are immediately passed on to the concern officials and are being reviewed regularly at the level of Collector. The helpline can also be used to call ambulance, fire services etc

If the steps taken towards improving the lot of the people in social sector could also be highlited, it would be appreciated by the public.

This is a very good step. But I am facing some problem regrading this toll free number i.e. when I try this number from private operator mobile ( Aircel ) faild to connect. It shows wrong number. So please solve this problem as soon as possible, because most people of our district have mobile number from private company.

This is good step taken by Administration. But, general people are not aware of this toll free help line number. It needs wider publication & advertisement in print media & eletronics media. Please take steps regarding this so that general public & village people could get aware of this facility & can get benefit from this help line.

THis is a good initiatives from Dist. Administration. People of Koraput district will be benefitted through this line and they can contact to the official and lodge their problems to the concerned department.

The toll free helpline No. should be widely publicized.One way is that it can be displayed in the autorickshaws and local public transports which are widely used by the general public in the District.Second,it should be mandatorily displayed in the block,tehesil,PHC,CHC and Anganwadi AWCs in each block,panchayat and village.

Most of the villages in Koraput district have access to mobile telephone facilities. Thus in this regard, 1077 help line is proving to be immensely helpful in outreaching the facilities. The school of Nuaguda and The NREGS payment of Kartas Janiguda are the example of the successful uses of the helpline.I sincerely hope that the pace of the present intervention should continue in the same vein.
